Chapter X. – Maxims and Sayings Which a Mother Might Teach Her Child.
Pithy, pregnant maxims and sayings are wise thoughts expressed tersely and strikingly. Watchwords we might [...]

The Acquisition of Wisdom and the Transmission of Culture

Our third level of education is the human or liberal — the training of man as man (how to think, how to act, and how to express oneself eloquently with both tongue and pen). A liberal education presupposes the earlier levels. If you can’t stay alive, you won’t be able to train your intellect. [...]

As They Transcend the Material

Our Lord Himself is the Educator par excellence and in the Great Commission, which was His last directions to the apostles before His ascension, He gave His Mystical Body a teaching mission: “Going, therefore, teach ye all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Our students learn cursive no [...]

Our classrooms are being reorganized, cleaned and at least painted-in-part, floors are being cleaned, school furniture is rearranged, AND the teachers are planning for an exciting year. Our enrollment numbers are increasing by several families. Some of them [...]

We had a wonderful festival — thank you to everyone who helped in any way (participation, prayers, support). The weather was perfect, the performances delightful, and attendees were very enthusiastic! We’re working on updating the festival site with pictures; they should be ready soon. Thank you!

Modesty as a defense of the Family

The TFP recently posted a lovely article on modesty: what it is and what are its ramifications. The tone of the article is very balanced; I think our readers would appreciate it. Just click on the hyperlink above.
